1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Biblicast mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Biblicast is a Bible reading application that provides access to Bible translations, study tools, audio narration, reading plans, verse art generation, and related features. Some features are available for free; others require a Premium subscription or credits.
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service.
- You are responsible for notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscriptions, Credits & Payments
Biblicast offers a free tier and premium subscription plans. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Free tier — includes Bible reading, basic audio, and a monthly credit allowance for AI features.
- Premium subscription — unlocks additional features including unlimited Bible chat, audiobooks, podcast summaries, verse art, and a larger monthly credit pool.
- Credits — certain AI-powered features consume credits. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. Credit costs vary by feature (e.g., Bible chat: 1 credit, verse art: 2 credits).
- Billing — subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through your app store account. Prices are displayed before purchase.
- Cancellation — you may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings. You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.
- Refunds — refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their refund policies.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or any part thereof.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure, servers, or networks.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access or extract data from the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
- Use the Bible chat feature to generate harmful, abusive, defamatory, or illegal content.
- Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit content from the Service without permission.
6. Intellectual Property
The Biblicast name, logo, design, and original content (excluding Bible text) are the intellectual property of Biblicast. Bible translations included in the Service are public domain or used under license.
You retain ownership of content you create (highlights, notes, bookmarks). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.
7. AI-Powered Features
Biblicast uses artificial intelligence to provide chat responses, podcast summaries, verse art, and other features. Please be aware:
- AI-generated content is provided for informational and study purposes only and should not be considered authoritative theological guidance.
- While our AI is designed to be grounded in Scripture, it may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete responses.
- AI responses do not represent the views or endorsement of Biblicast.
- We do not use your AI conversations to train AI models.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Biblicast and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.
You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as limitation of liability and intellectual property) will remain in effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Biblicast operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
